"Look, I know who you are, what you do and I've got to tell you, you're not the sort of 'team player' we'd need," he explained but paused to stare her in the face. "However," he continued, "S.H.I.E.L.D. has in the past been known to employ people of your particular talents for particular jobs that would remain off the record. If I were to employ you, it would not be officially through S.H.I.E.L.D. In fact, you would likely remain working in the same capacity that you do now."
