It was clear to her that she'd hit a nerve and it would have been dishonest of her to say that she didn't feel at least a little triumphant about it. Kitty wasn't all that interested in celebrating though, at least not in the same outright fashion as Pyro; not that he gave her a chance to, with a rebuttal like that. A little shocked, but otherwise pretending not to be, she just kind of shook her head and softly chuckled, "I don't think you're in any position to talk to me about manners."
Pretending that she wasn't annoyed that Pyro had just invited himself to tag along was a lot more difficult and when he put on his little gentleman facade, she stared with incredulity before regressing to an eye roll because it would have been pointless to dignify that with a response. Dismissively, she merged into the thick line of people waiting to get out and stood there silently for as long as she could before what he'd said a few moments ago settled (and eventually exploded) in her head.
"What does that even mean?" Kitty whipped around, scowling. "A girl like you. If you really think that I need looking after then you, John, don't know me as well you think you do." Shrugging, she turned back around and followed the array of people through the doors, determined to get as far away from him as possible, but damn it couldn't help but have more to say. Once she was out, she turned around again, adding, "And anyway, it'd be silly of you to follow me--don't you think I'll just ignore you?"
