Looking about the room, Steve flashed a small smile to anyone that caught his eye before taking the remaining seat. He glanced up at the boy's question, and fumbled for a moment before offering up a pencil that he'd had perched on his ear.
"I've got a spare," he said, rolling it across the table and giving a reassuring grin before flipping open his own survey, and carefully reading over the questions.
