It made sense that they carried their costumes around with them for situations just like this that required a dramatically practiced quick-change, but Daisy had never seen such a thing in action before and had to restrain herself into a private smile. Weren't they supposed to use a phone booth for that shit? Daisy's amusement didn't last for long, though, because that roar wasn't going to choke itself and she had the good fortune to be with a fully equipped team. The bow was kind of archaic, but it wasn't like Daisy hadn't seen the technique before. Maybe Hawkeye had started a trend. She left her purse on the platform, bringing just her phone with her, rolling her boring, civilian sleeves up to get to work.
"Maybe it's on the move," she suggested as they crept along the tunnel. Behind them, the fluorescent lights of the station became an inviting white smudge in the darkness, and ahead a red wash flicked on and off in a steady beat like a warning. With a click, Daisy's cell phone was a flare of murky light that barely reached her face as she typed quickly on its keyboard, searching for a map of the subway tunnels. "There's an unused station to your right," she advised. Then, a little tense, she added, "It's under City Hall." Maybe she needed to call in the cavalry.
