"A little, but I've been busy," she shrugged, and it was clear that meeting new people wasn't a particularly interesting prospect for her. In truth, Wanda had found herself thinking a lot lately about when she wanted to return to New York and reminding herself that she'd never intended for the move to be a permanent one. The transition hadn't been easy and realizing that it wasn't anything like she'd hoped it would be living on the West Coast only amplified her feelings of homesickness for New York. Being here now, and with Tony, definitely didn't help ease the it. Making new attachments out west would just complicate her homecoming.
"What are you up to lately?" she asked as casually as she could to deflect attention away from her to cut off any more suggestions of meddling in her social life. She doggedly kept a hold on his hands and added with a laugh, "Besides, you know, everything."
