"No, I'm glad to be here," Wanda assured him with a bright smile. "And I’m sorry it took me so long. I got a cab once I reached the city," she apologized and turned to glance around at the security guard (whose presence was the only thing preventing her from demanding and offering more kisses in a number of different places). The guard stared back at her for a moment like he still wanted to protest her sudden and strange arrival, but seemed to think better of it when he shrugged and turned to saunter into another room off the lobby, muttering to himself.
When he was gone, Wanda took the liberty of another kiss that ended abruptly as a school of large magenta fish swam into view in the glass walled tank behind Tony. She pulled away from Tony with a sheepish smile that dimmed a little as she tilted her head back to gaze up at him. Now that she’d arrived, she was beginning to wonder why exactly he’d asked her here. Not that something spontaneous from Tony was particularly surprising, but his stammering on the phone hadn’t been completely lost on her. “How are you?” she asked, searching his face for an expression that might contradict whatever he answered.
