One good thing about "dating" a superhero (well, this one, anyway) was that they were reliable. For example, Cassie could always rely on Peter Parker to be late and Spider-man to arrive just in the nick of time. That was why she wasn't even remotely surprised that Peter arrived when he did, but she was relieved, and it showed in her smile as she greeted him.
"It's cool-" she began and stopped short as his compliment, flushing with a shy kind of smile. She was glad for the distraction afforded by the ticket line and she turned to stare at it for a moment and then shook her head. "Oh come on, I told you I'd pay. I already got the tickets." She pulled them from her pocket, waved them in front of him and, without another word, took him by the hand and pulled him after her into the movie theatre's lobby. There was a little grin on her face while she held his hand, but she dropped it as abruptly as she'd grabbed it and offered him his ticket with a mumbled, "Here" once they were inside. "How 'bout you get the popcorn and stuff and I'll see if I can save us a couple seats?"
