More like she was hoping to go into the field before they remembered to debrief her, but Coulson was close. Giant squid debriefing sounded a heck of a lot more fun than hospital visit debriefing, but maybe that was just Bobbi. Far be it from her to deny Coulson the chance to debrief every trip to the coffee pot. It was his life's work. He was a master and this was his canvas; taking notes on stuff other people did.
"Have you ever fought a giant squid?" Bobbi asked when she slid out of the car and turned to follow his gaze up at the tentacle over the skyscrapers way over there. It was an honest question, maybe less about the squid and more about anything that wasn't briefing and babysitting. It had to happen, Bobbi just never saw it happening, like the mystery of when Coulson slept. The part of the question that really was about a giant squid was more about whether or not Coulson really wanted to miss this opportunity and talk to Agent 19 about ancient history.
