Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high
Characters: Wicked OT anyone who wants to help or bug her
Setting:NY Public Library
Content:Nothing bad. Subject to change if this library research turns into a hands on experiment.
Summary: Deciding to take her power training into her own hands, Wicked utilize that building with all the books and shit.
It had been sometime since Wicked had been in a library. Well, not to read anyway. For once she was there to study and not flirt with the cute poli-sci majors. Past events had made her painfully aware that she didn’t know anything about her powers. Her trial by error method wasn’t enough and she was sure her teammates had had enough of her experiments. Shooting peanuts at the ghosts to test their density was one thing but having them independently wander around the Cocoon was another. She decided to give the team a break and do some old fashioned book-learnin’. This way she could know what exactly it was she was summoning and more importantly how she was summoning them.
Then there was the added bonus of forgetting about that boy and LA for a few hours. Spending the afternoon at the library beat holding herself up in her room listening to riot grrrl bands on repeat like she usually did when she was mad at a male. She was an adult now, if she was mad at her significant other she’d do what other adults did; act like a child, refuse to talk to him and throw herself into her work.
On the third floor she sat down at a quiet table surrounded by stacks of books on the supernatural and necromancy. One of these books had to point her in the right direction.
“’Classical necromancers addressed the dead in "a mixture of high-pitch squeaking and low droning’ Hmmm.”
Her eyes shifted as she looked around the floor to make sure no one was around. When she was certain the coast was clear she let out a series of squeaks and moans. She sounded like some half dolphin half whale creature, but it was in the name of research. Wiggling her fingers at the empty chair in front of her, however, was all in good fun. She only stopped when she heard the soft cough from behind her. Too embarrassed to see who it was, she slumped into her chair with her book hiding her bright red face.
