"Punch him in the face or something," she advised sagely and then added with a smirk, "Then, you know, run like hell." High school hadn't really been a picnic for Cassie, either. She'd spent more time trying to get out of class than she'd spent sitting in one and she was more grateful for the tutor than Tony would ever know, honestly. The guy was pretty all right and he let her go at her own pace mostly and it was way better than all the structure and rules of a public school. Plus, she was actually basically finished now which was pretty awesome.
"I've got to take a couple tests, whenever I want, I guess though my tutor says I should try to do it soon. Anyway, if I take them and do all right, I'll get a diploma or G.E.D. or something." She shrugged, the details didn't really matter much to her. It was just a piece of paper. Apparently it proved she was at least a moderately intelligent member of society, but she was pretty sure she could prove that without a piece of paper. "I'm a little worried about the science and math stuff, though," she admitted, and added, as casually as possible (because it was a perfect excuse to hang out more without having to straight up ask him to hang out, which might seem desperate or something, right? Right), "Maybe you could help me study sometime? If you wanted."
