So third day back on the job for Peter Parker and already he was running into old friends. Good old Mac Gargon, aka the Scorpion. Spidey had swung over to this side of town after hearing a bank alarm bellow out. He'd known to expect something along Gargon's level because that trusty spider-sense of his started flaring off as soon as he'd moved to intercept. It looked like Scorps was trying to get away with robbery yet again! You'd think the guy would realize that robbery was a bad career path by now. How many times had Peter knocked his teeth in again? At least six.
Now here Spider-man was, leaping for his life in a fight with a very angry man in a goofy green suit. "Maaaac, what's wrong?" Pondered Spidey aloud as he leaped from one side of the wall to the other. Gargan let out an string of angry shouting and slashed the spot Pete had been couched on with his tail. There was a crack and hole in the wall. "You never call, you never write. A guy starts to think you don't care after a while dear." Scorpion sprayed the other side of the wall with a jet of acid from his tail and swore again at Spidey for yanking his stolen cash away. What a broken record.
That was when things got even more interesting. Someone was else walking down the alley and shouting at Scorps. Both Spider-man and Scorpion turned immediately turned to stare at this newcomer. "Cassie?" meeped Peter underneath his mask in surprise as Mac Gargon turned and ran down the side of the wall after her. Uh oh! Spidey quickly leaped to the ground and sent a web line at the back of Mac's right leg. As soon as the line attached he started pulling the creep back. "Woooooah there Bessie, wooooah!" Hopefully Cassie still had some of those Pym particle powers. He didn't know how long he could pull Mac back.
