It was even harder not to laugh at Sue's invisible frustration and Tony had to swallow it with his chin tucked to his chest and gaze trained straight ahead while she came undone at Johnny. Being stuck invisible was probably very scary and no laughing matter, she had brought him here to help and trusted him to at the least not make anything worse. After her shot a look over his shoulder at Johnny's retreat with an eyebrow raised in amusement. Right, dilemma.
"Let's not get hasty," Tony advised, purring now in what he hoped was a reassuring way, but that wasn't a phrase that he uttered often. With the floating reference point, it was easy to find Sue's elbow and then her back, coaxing her to relax and let Tony take care of this with a gentle pat. They would keep the option to destroy the thing on the back burner, for when they had exhausted everything else. "Forget about that for now. Tell me about your invisibility," he prompted, not for his own benefit but to get her thinking clearly about it. "It's just light, right? Not a change in yourself, but an outside force," he continued helpfully. "Can you still manipulate other fields, or are you completely locked?"
