Tony wasn't sure how the man could play it so straight when he was obviously the only other one in the room and, as lucid as Tony may or may not have been on the way in, he was sure there hadn't be a clamour to offer him a hand. That narrowed 'anyone' down quite a bit. Shooting him a wry, skeptical smile for his humility, Tony asked, "Are you sure you couldn't find the time for a drink, Steven Rogers?" The answer must have been plain to him because he didn't wait for Steven to come up with it before starting to pour two generous glasses of brandy. Whatever the other man chose to do, Tony knew they would both get drunk after that episode.
"Anthony Stark," he announced as he turned back to his unexpected guest, confidently assuming his will still and approaching with a glass extended. "You're welcome to call me Tony." His colour was already returning, he could feel it in his face, so he felt reasonably sure that his grin wasn't entirely goulish.
