Given her position, 'uncomfortable' was a bit of an understatement, but it wasn't as if Kate went into the situation expecting a jolly good time. She didn't go in expecting help either, so when she got it, Kate was almost as caught off guard off as the weirdo who'd just gotten his hand impaled by an arrow. An arrow that wasn't even hers. But she wasn't that surprised, and seized the opportunity to immobilize his ankle and grab the arm with the injured hand from behind and throw him over her shoulder.
Panting, Kate kicked the knife out of sight and knelt to the side of him, holding up his arm to get a closer look at the arrow that went in one side and out the other. It was a nice arrow. Kate dropped his arm and righted herself up, shooting both guys a look of disgust. Maybe they’d think twice the next time they want to go on the prowl for innocent people. Kate didn’t have much faith. Face hardened, the Young Avenger notched another arrow and raised her bow, fixing a cautious eye on the surrounding rooftops.
“Who’s there?” The young Hawkeye demanded with a strong air of fearlessness about her. Whoever it was, she wasn’t giving any thanks until she knew for sure who the phantom arrow belonged to.
