Sebastian didn't reply to Daisy's question. He quietly glanced away and looked over at food stand across the street. One thing his training had taught him was that expectations held up to realty like a house of cards. All it took was the slightest breeze to send them falling over. Maybe that was the lesson that made someone an adult? He didn't know. He didn't have any of the answers. It was frustrating.
