Though he still wasn't exactly focused on what Pepper was saying to him, Tony did automatically return her smile which reminded him he was supposed to be doing something other than melting into her bed and watching her skirt drape and drift around her legs. It was a good thing (a really, really, untouchably good thing) she was getting married because the pair of them had been idiots trying to deny it, first of all, and Happy would keep her so...well, Happy, and Tony wasn't supposed to watch her like this anyway. It was weird. Seeing her with her hair down was always a little weird, though.
He sat up swiftly when she joined him on the bed, lips pursed and staring out the still slightly ajar bamboo door like that had been what was occupying him all along. He had taken a breath to answer her, but had to pause to recall the brief conversation thus far to actually know what he was answering, and eventually sighed, "Cassie." Then, after a beat, "Or what we're doing." He obviously didn't feel too bad about it, though, because he grinned at her again then dropped his gaze to the bed where he brushed his fingers against her wrist to encourage her hand into his. Too late, though; a knock came at the solid door that faced into the compound, and someone called, "Delivery, Ms. Pepper?" Tony was immediately on his feet to answer it, pulling open the door to reveal a bouquet of jewel coloured flowers so big it spanned the whole doorway.
