Spirit Characters: Li Hua and Noriko, then Danny whenever he wants to come in, maybe Tony? Setting: East Harlem, then Avengers Tower, I think. Content: Safe as long as everyone behaves themselves. Summary: Li Hua and Noriko have been bonding, and Danny thinks the girl needs a positive influence in her life.
Since the warehouse could be quite lively at night, it got the quietest just after breakfast when many of the women had left for their regular jobs and others, that had been doing their good work after the sun went down, were taking the chance to rest, either there on the upper level or in the various open houses welcoming sisters across the city now. Usually, adapting to these various schedules of work and rest and family time, the Daughters, so they called themselves, trained and cared for each other in smaller groups, large enough now to have a rich cross section of variable skills to be shared, and with a 'second generation' of sorts of those that had studied directly under Tiger's Beautiful Daughter and could pass on what they knew now to their newest sisters when Tiger couldn't be present. There was so much to teach, after all, and they all had to help each other.
Tiger was there, though, that morning, wearing a light, pink, cotton dress that pooled around her as she sat, half-lotus, on a cushion, straight backed with eyes half lidded, watching like a bronze buddha the comings and goings of the few quiet women who still were not yet ready to settle that morning. Some of them shot her anxious and apologetic glances for their intrusion and restless energy that she was obviously waiting to bring to peace, but could not yet sit with her. She didn't react, letting them pass by patiently. It was only when Noriko slunk by that Li Hua invited, "Sit," without letting her get away. That girl had barely yet tried to control her destructive energy, and wouldn't without instruction. There was too much of it to let her focus on her own. She needed to take advantage of this quiet hour to care for herself and not be distracted by the million worries and fantasies that Li Hua could feel from where she sat.
