Steve was acutely glad for being crammed into such an awkward position, as it meant his shield was in a prime position to shelter him from the brunt of the debris and sparks that assaulted him. His feet however did not take so kindly to being abruptly dragged across the pavement at such speed, and the smell of burning rubber assailed his nose.
The jarring hit from the car behind left him a bit disorientanted, and even when the car came to a halt he was still for a moment, before fumbling for his seat belt release.
"Cassie?! Tony?!" He couldn't see them from this angle, but if they were still conscious they should be able to hear him and answer back. He stumbled a bit, feet shaky and tried to locate first the other half of the car, and then whomever had done this.
