The sound of the all too familiar Cajun accent pulled Rogue from sleep and she turned, catching herself before she rolled off the simple sleeping pad. "Gambit?" She whispered, her tone slightly shocked at the sight of his tall frame hunched over the lock to her cell. She hadn't expected him to show up, especially after Xavier had phoned tell her to stay put for the moment...that they would get her out. He left off the eventually, but it went without saying. Breaking laws to give her a jail break would not be helpful to his cause. Climbing to her feet, she walked to the bars and gripped the cold metal in her gloved fingers. Her green eyes flashed back and forth, surprised strangely not to see any guards...they had made a habit of constantly hanging around her cell, mostly to torment her. She had taken to sleeping without her gloves on...easier to touch someone if they decided to do more then gawk. Rogue would never be a victim. At the miss me comment, the brunette smiled, but when she spoke the words weren't anything to match the expression. " Not that I'm not grateful for the jailbreak, but why you always savin me?" She asked quietly. " Not like I couldn't have got out on my own..." Not that she had a plan except to completely take the guards out next time around...or wait for Xavier, but no need to share that thought.
