As far as improbable events went, the collision of her spell with Clint's arrow was pretty improbable and Wanda cursed aloud. It could have just been a coincidence but she preferred to blame that mishap on the unpredictably of her ability. She didn't have time to dwell on it when the child made his request and she stared at him in confusion for a moment. He wanted her to, what, transform his stick into a weapon? And then leave him? For all that the idea went against her better judgment, the kid actually had a point. She was hindered down here on her own, apparently, even with Clint able-bodied again above.
She took the stick and concentrated and hoped she could manage what the kid wanted (she didn't have much practice in transforming an object so completely). What she got was still a stick, but a very sharp one, more like a spear which would prove a viable weapon at the very least. "Here," she handed it over and promised him, "We'll get out of this alive. I promise." And then she was rising up into the foliage to find Clint and face the monster.
