Watching her up close like she was looking out from a tank and all of the slithering and crawly things were the ones watching her in the zoo, the spider beast sneered and was raised up on its toes at that first flick of the witch's wrist. He was more than ready for her attack, leaping easily off of her bubble and onto a tree trunk, where he blended in with uncanny ease with the dizzying patterns on his large back. The burst that the witch made collided with the arrow from above, making it explode pre-emptively and cause a rain of debris from the shivering trees down onto the witch's safe little dome. From his perch, the beast clapped his hands in appreciation of this flawless team work. If only it had gotten the woman out of her shell.
