It was clear, after standing awkwardly aside as Danny chatted to his acquaintance, that following the Iron Fist had perhaps not been the best option. To his credit, he'd seemed so sure (sure enough to immediately get out a bike and suggest they set off) and the woman and her entourage had seemed strange. None of this made up for the fact that Wanda and Clint were now ancillary, standing idly by and simply waiting after what actually had amounted to nothing more than a wild goose chase and now Wanda felt annoyed with herself and it was so damned hot out here. They had more important reasons to be here than catching up with old friends. An excavation, a dead woman and a possibility of the supernatural, just to name a few. The sort of thing that should have fallen under she and Danny's expertise (and Clint's, if he had an arrow for it) if the trip hadn't suddenly turned into a social mixer near a mystic temple.
With nothing else to do while they waited Wanda eavesdropped, listening to their conversation and watching them out of the corner of her eye. The woman was still strange and something still seemed off. Danny seemed to take her cryptic words in stride but Wanda was simply baffled, nothing the woman said quelled her disease. When the stranger glanced towards the temple and then towards the East, Wanda followed her gaze, but she didn't know what she was looking for. Her attention returned to Danny when he turned to speak to her and to Clint.
"We ask around," Wanda said shortly with another glance at the strange woman before she took to the air to head towards the temple in the distance. Wanda couldn't remember where the news said that the American girl had gone missing before she turned up dead, but thanks to Danny's peculiar friend she had an inkling that it was probably to the East somewhere. For now, the most logical place to go was the temple where they could try to get information. There were probably so many excavation sites in this country it would have been laughable to hope they were anywhere near the right one. It was likely that there was a lot of ground to cover and a lot of lost time to make up for.
This time, she didn't wait around on anyone else and alighted near the temple's steps, not looking to see if her companions followed on their bikes. As soon as she was on the ground she looked around for someone she could speak to who might be able to offer them some help.
