Somehow, knowing that didn't actually make Happy feel any better. He stared at her for a long time and then nodded with a weary expression. "I'll let you get back to your-" he waved his hand vaguely at the crowd as he rose to his feet. "Sorry I interrupted." He'd wanted answers and, now that he had them, it was disappointing to find that the knowledge he'd sought out hadn't changed a damn thing. Without saying goodbye, without uttering another word, he turned and moved towards the sidewalk. He ought to go home, he had a family waiting.
