Lilly gave a queer laugh and turned away from Misty, shoulders squared to the bar again and back rigidly straight, eyes wide for a manic moment like a cat that had seen a shadow dart across the ground. It passed as quickly as he came and she cocked her head, inky hair sweeping across her back, thoughtful and centered. "It is always the most rewarding, in my job, to see the women take the power back, that was taken from them," she agreed, and smiled her first honest smile of the conversation. She looked back to Misty, over her shoulder now, and said, "Not many women think they are allowed, like you. They think you have a man's job. Sometimes they even hate you for it, because they think you're not supposed to. Those are the saddest, who don't believe in their sisters."
