The knock snapped Tony out of his own kind of meditation on the glowing screen projected over his desk, reminding him that the rest of the world wasn't in strict blueprints. He peered around his work and looking like he might have smiled if his chin wasn't still in his hand, and from behind his fingers he greeted in a still distracted way, "Hey, kid." Before Danny got too, far, though, the screen was gone and Tony was collecting his briefcase from where it still sat on his desk to intercept his guest and direct him towards the more comfortable couches in front of the uninterrupted view of the city. "You have some incredibly...challenging friends," he said in reply, obviously searching for a word that summed up his experience following Danny's advice and pleasantly surprising himself with the result. That was spot on. While the rest of his experience had been with people who had adapted to a very Western ideal in presentation and business, Danny's map forced him to confront methods that didn't involve transparent desperation to be his ideal. That was maybe a little why he wanted to talk to the Avenger.
He offered a seat to Danny then settled into the couch himself, case at his side where he could manipulate it while he announced, "I have a proposal for you." From out of his briefcase came that heavy volume that had caused them both so much extra stress, and about which Tony said nothing as he handed it over, putting a clean end to that whole episode. He didn't want to hear about it anymore. Dr. Strange certainly didn't want to hear about it anymore, and he wasn't taking money for his contribution. It was sticky. Instead, Tony went on, "Your work with your own foundation was impressive and heart-felt, and its dissolution was one of the greatest losses of the city last year." He had to stop to consider for a moment what other reasons he was supposed to give, or if those were just for other people who didn't think he was being reasonable putting this on the newly rehabilitated. Probably the latter. "I want to appoint you president of the Maria Stark Foundation," he finished.
