Tony couldn't remember the last time he had personally docked someone's pay, but he was seriously considering it then. Did Pepper not give her the '20 minutes' qualifier? Did she think that meant '20 minutes to catch up with you'? Did she actually not notice that she was interrupting his work? He narrowed his eyes at the second 'like', mostly managing not to do it at 'Clint Barton' because he was prepared for that one on several emotional and a few physical levels. As far as he knew, Barton wasn't so much 'hanging around' as treating it like a bed and breakfast, but he wasn't sure how his Avengers status impacted Cassie. Still, Tony replied, "Probably. They do like to do that while I'm not around," which was a slight betrayal of that emotional foundation, but he could fill in the gaps before he actually had to lay eyes on Barton. More importantly, it hopefully reminded Cassie that she was the one who was supposed to be holding down the fort under Pepper's command while he was in China and no, he didn't know all the juicy gossip of the last two weeks and it was actually a relief.
