Never say "forever" 'cause nothing lasts. Characters: Magnus, Mystique, Regan, Mult-Threads Setting: Genosha Content: Nothing bad Summary: Magnus has a crisis to handle and one of his Brotherhood members to meet with
Magnus lounged at one end of a long table, gazing around at a slew of faces that wore expressions ranging from completely bored to sickeningly sycophantic. This was a gathering of Magnus' highest ranking Brotherhood members, which would soon- if the question he'd already asked twice wasn't answered with another offer of information- be drawing to a close. "Anything else?" he questioned, eyebrows raised, and this time received a series of negative mutters and head shakes. Splendid. There was a European politician to assassinate, a new Sentinel holding facility to destroy, and a team of British "superheroes" to do battle with. Another tedious week.
As Magnus rose from his chair the others did as well and, with a murmur of thanks and a goodbye, the meeting was officially finished. He left the meeting chamber and the building that held it to begin a walk through the city to return to his manor. It was a particularly mild and pleasant afternoon on Genosha, but Magnus was not inclined to notice it. His mind was a thousand other places and a thoughtful frown tugged at his lips, deterring strangers from approaching him.
