"Does this happen often?" she asked, unaware of the crucial point he'd lost control around her before, on the night of her birthday. Usually Daimon seemed so cool and collected and, though she knew it was part of his very nature, she'd still unintentionally come to view his demon form and his human form as two entirely separate entities. The former was useful in a fight but wasn't a creature she cared to spend too much time with. It just wasn't quite him. His demonic never seemed a facet of himself that was out of his command and they didn't really talk about it much. He could be a demon one moment and the next he was Daimon again and they were going out to dinner or going to the movies like it was something she thought he could just turn on and off.
"Maybe it's stress or something?" she suggested. That had been her experience when her powers behaved strangely.
