For all the ways Tony could find to justify his inaction, none of them sounded like a strong enough argument against Wanda's point. It had been nearly a year full of plentiful opportunities and no one was dead, that was a pretty strong one for Raven not planning to murder anyone. But it didn't carry over so well to feeding Magneto sensitive information. 'He hasn't done anything, so she must not be spying'? The truth was, he just didn't want her to be. Raven, though, had the best excuse; "If she was spying, if her primary assignment was to assassinate me, if you were her-- when you reported back to Magneto, wouldn't you want something to give him?" Admittedly, Tony didn't know how Raven's relationship with Magneto worked, but if he tortured his own kids then it might have saved her neck to give him morsels of information, and Tony was going to support that. He wasn't going to wish anyone else hurt because of him, he did that enough on his own. More importantly, "S.H.I.E.L.D. will deliver her to the firing squad, too." He took his hand from Wanda's, wrapping them both around his mug and looking back to the window.
"I don't regret any of it," he admitted after a beat. "I'll apologize, but I wouldn't change it, not if I had the chance. Not right now. But if you tell Nick and she dies, that would be because of me." He only met Wanda's eye then, and only for a moment before drinking from his mug again. That fucking bullet from Nick's ass was in his head. Actually, it was in a safe underground, but Tony could picture it clearly and he was starting to get the feeling they were going to have a long relationship, however much he didn't understand it when Nick first handed it to him. Only Nick's twisted mind understood what it was actually supposed to mean to Tony, but right then Tony felt the weight of it in his hand reminding him how the first bullet was supposed to teach you to never get hit by another fucking bullet again, as long as you remembered how much it hurt instead of how exhilarating the fight was. Tony always remembered the fight.
