Boom Boom stood, dumbfounded, as her savior took her by the shoulders and looked her over critically, like a mother with a child. Who was this woman? Not even her mother had ever looked at her with such concern and her father had shook her up more than this. Even now, she couldn't feel the blood obviously trailing down her face or the bruises and throbbing which was bound to become more real the next morning. She chalked it all up to the constant beatings as a child. You got slugged enough, you started to turn off the switch which registered pain. You let it happen and when it was done, you cleaned yourself up.
"No, um, I don't know them. They just grabbed me and-" her voice was cut off as the brunette blotted at the blood with a wet cloth. It stunned her. What? "Thanks, hey, I'm okay. Its not that bad", she attempted to wave the other woman off, "I've had worse".
