Li Hua slowly twisted her head until she was watching that frustration take over the girl's demeanor out of the corner of her eye, still twinkling with a tease, but a sharply defined half of her mask turned black out of the light. Hero was more than a little touchy about the subject. So, with Li Hua's question unanswered, she ignored the one directed at her, too (after all, what sort of question was that? She wasn't supposed to be anyone at all, as far as she had been advised). Instead, she pressed, "I thought this was your preferred name. The newspapers call you 'capes' and 'vigilantes', yes? These are better."
With one ear turned towards the house, Tiger could hear better how it had become quiet inside, or the footsteps she could hear before had just drawn further to the back. She hoped it was the former, and the Daughters had spotted the newcomer. If they weren't waiting, then one might step out the door and little-big hero would have even more questions.
