"Ah' bet we are", she said warily, glancing at him with amused green eyes and shook her head. He was one of those guys, the ones that still believed in chivalry of the knight and shining armor days. Of course the most logically reason would be that his momma had raised him right, either way Rogue refused to be taken in by such tidings. No doubt he had a master plan. Men always did, he was just more crafty about it than most she had come across.
The feeling of his hand, light as it was, on the small of her back caused the brunette to stiffen momentarily, but she didn't say anything else. His hand rested on a covered place and he was safe as long as he didn't attempt anything else. "This conscience has no faith in the girl bein' able to care for herself", she said warily, "Didn' even think ah' would be hearin' him at all tonight and now look, ah' can't get rid of ya". However, Rogue made no other move to shake him off or tell him to leave.
"Really? A name?" she paused and arched an eyebrow in his direction before continuing on towards her run down motel. "Ya wouldn' believe me. Of course, what's behind those sunglasses makes me think, maybe you would more than most".
