Moira's lips pursed with the effort of containing a smile, but it showed in her eyes. "I believe we can provide a change of clothing, if you would prefer. Whichever way you're comfortable." Tucking the folder under her arm, she crossed to the door and held it open. "This way, Mr. Rand."
It wasn't far to the elevator down to the danger room, but the place was laid out as a bit of a maze. The mansion had been designed with two layers in mind: the cover school for visitors and younger students, and the X-Men headquarters below. Moira led him down a hallway to nowhere, and opened a wall to access the elevator.
Below the main school, built in wood and stone, was another world, of metal and glass. The school above was designed for students; this one was designed to assist and control powerful mutants. Heels clicking on the floor, Moira made her way down the corridor, punching in access codes as they went. Finally, a door opened into an all-white room, shaped like the inside of a flying saucer. Moira mounted the steps to an observation room and stopped in front of a computer panel, punching in instructions with unusual ease, considering that she'd only taken over the place a couple of weeks before.
"What kind of environment and opponents can I offer you, Mr. Rand?" she asked, fingers poised above the keyboard.
