"Yeah" he said nodding. "I know about them" he said. "I visited here last year and met with a few of them." He winced a little, closing one eye and peeking out of the other "By the way, Emma Frost isn't still around, is she?" he wasn't totally sure which response he wanted.
After Moira responded, he continued. "If it comes down to fighting though, then in the words of a buddy of mine- Sweet Christmas!" He laughed at his own reference and then added quickly. "Sorry, inside joke. It means...uhh- let me at 'em? Yeah lets go with that."
His smile shrank a little as he became more serious. "Joking aside, I think there might be some unique opportunities to my employment. As I said before, my profile is fairly low-key at the moment. While that might be subject to change, the spotlight never lingered long in my direction. And the fact I'm a human whose career hasn't involved much crossover with the mutant community in the past, I'm a bit of a wildcard."
He paused a moment, trying to make sure he was delicate with his next few words. "Having a face few people recognize, or when they do they don't immediately think 'X-Men' might be useful in some... covert endeavors" he said. Was that too much? It may have been too much "What I mean is like...Daredevil covert...not like, Nick Fury covert. Because I don't want you to think- that I'd think- that you'd be doing that kind stuff..." he said, thoroughly confusing himself.
"I'm a ninja. Hi-yah" he said finally, chopping a hand "I'm better at teaching, I swear" he added lamely.
