If the expression on his face was any indication, Nick obviously didn't believe either of them. But there were other things to focus on now so he shrugged and told them to get into uniform and meet him in the hangar, ASAP.
He waited by a helicopter, arms crossed and looking impatient. Time was off the essence here, particularly since they were going somewhere that- if Nick was seen- he would lose his job over it. Probably get court marshaled. Maybe go to prison (well, the Raft, anyway. Fury liked to believe at the very least a regular fucking prison couldn't hold him). Point was, they needed to expedite the handling of this mission and- more importantly- they needed to not fuck it up.
