Honestly, Daisy thought it might be worth the slightly awkward prologue if she could convince Alex that he had to log it in his journal every time so she and Nick could make sure he wasn't doing anything wrong, along with regular doses of healthy 'advice'. That would be even funnier to shop around than the hilarious moanings of Yo-Yo. Unfortunately, the kid was more clever than he regularly let on, which kind of made him thirty times more frustrating when Daisy knew full well that he was just putting on the idiot act.
Wetting her lips, Daisy explained flatly, "I'm working," not giving in to his pestering or pathetic whining or whatever the fuck he was doing. Everyone else did just fine with the punching bag, there was a lot it could teach you, and negated the necessity of fucking bothering Daisy. Even the guys at Hogan's fucking knew that, and they were a bunch of bloated morons. Maybe she would start doing paperwork there, too. Maybe she would just quit and waste her life with a bunch of middle-aged failures. At least they appreciated her there.
