"Okay," Tony tried to temper Wanda's insistence, flashing a reassuring smile and raising a hand to put an end to any dramatic declarations in case Wanda felt she really needed to get her point through to him. Obviously, this day had been going pretty well for a while, but if she thanked him one more time he'd start to second guess the parts he was feeling pretty good about. He just needed a little time to evaluate where the day had taken them.
He didn't really expect her dramatic declaration to happen physically, not after his transparent deflection in the changing room. Evidently, she needed far more clearly defined boundaries or she was going to take advantage of all the little holes he left. He let his eyes fall closed when she pulled him towards her, tilting his head thinking it would be a friendly peck on the cheek. Then he was bracing a hand on her shoulder to ease her off without knocking them both over and toppling the tenuous cease-fire. "I should have told you," he acknowledged, hand still on her now keeping her from rushing off and speculating any number of self-loathing reasons he was trying to maintain the distance before he could explain. He smiled, because it really was good news, but it was tense. "I'm going to see Raven tomorrow," he announced, smile stretching hopefully wider, then dimming with a apologetic furrow of his brow.
