All Tony had to say about that was, "Yeah." He wasn't sure what she was thanking him for; probably shutting up. He didn't mind. She wasn't glaring at him anymore. His hand slipped out of hers so he could wrap a conciliatory arm around her, rubbing warmth into her shoulder. Eventually, they wouldn't have to argue about the matter, and they shouldn't have been in the position to argue about it at all. Tony had been wasting time. He should have had it under control by now.
The quiet between them lasted another minute before Tony offered, "Wanna get warmed up?" and shifting to brave the ice again for the trip back to the rental kiosk. If he kept his eyes on the target, they might be able to make it without any casualties. He was already dialing a cab to take Wanda back to the Tower, he would go back for the car, to give her the space she probably really needed today.
