Paige had a motherly aura about her sometimes, especially when the well-being of those she cared about was compromised. She could remember being that way even when she was younger, when her father died and how quickly she was to take responsibility in bringing ease to all of her siblings' distress when it got overwhelming for her mom and oldest brother. It was no different in this case with Jean, understanding that it must've been eating her up so much inside and knowing that it felt better sometimes to talk and talk and talk until something finally did make sense.
She nodded silently and wrapped an arm around her and pulled her in from a hug. "Mah hotel room's nothin' but a walk away, we can go there for some privacy." Releasing her, she jerked her head toward the group of mutants and added, "But Ah imagine we gotta go get permission for that first, huh?"
