Tony just smiled, hand dropping to hover near her hip and not quite ease her away to slide off of the table. It was almost too long before he said quietly, "Excuse me, sweetheart," and moved away to remove the traces of their presence from the lab. This had all been strangely easy. All along strangely easy-- like picking up 'Anna' from the street had been strangely easy.
But he was tracking her now, how could that fall into some devious plan of hers? Maybe she figured he would follow her around, lure him into some trap. He was a busy man, he didn't have time to stalk her. Maybe this was all some convoluted venture for the wrong person to get their hands on his tech-- but he hadn't even told Elektra he was going to track her, he just sprung it on her.
"Did you want a ride somewhere, or are you just going to disappear into the night?" he asked as he sidled back up next to her, eyes on the screen of his phone, hand running through his hair. Whatever he had been doing with the phone he stopped, looking up at her expectantly; in the phone, stored forever. No throwing it out with the dry cleaning debris.
