After Raven's kiss, Tony squeezed her fingers and returned the gesture before pulling her arm around his neck and hauling her back with him until their positions were reversed and he was supporting her on his back with one leg hanging over the arm of the couch. After some more wiggling, his shoes hit the ground, and Tony settled in to raking his fingers over the back of Raven's neck. He was glad to hear it, honestly, but the statement left him uneasy and quietly thoughtful for a moment. Getting his life back on track and working at his recovery again meant precisely that he was going to stop being so indulgent and have a lot less time to devote to Raven-- a lot less. And he had lost quite a few partners that way, including a girl he really did want to marry. The bottom line was, he was going to be a different person than the guy she hooked up with.
He took a preparatory breath to ask his final question before deciding he didn't want to know. Of course she would deny it, no matter the outlined rules, but Tony was fairly certain he knew the honest answer to whether or not she would have intervened if Steve never had. "Was that three yet?" he asked instead, citing his surrender to this excercise.
