Tony responded with a sparkling grin and settled his head back on Raven's chest, snuggling affectionately into the warmth and thanking her with a pat to her stomach for being such a welcome end to an exhausting day. As long as they were playing an honesty game, he figured it was easiest to just be honest with the awkward question he wanted to ask; "Pep-- My assistant is, like, three years pregnant, she's wanted this for a really long time so it's-- good." Maybe not any less awkward, though. He gave Raven's belly another pat and stroked his thumb over her skin before asking, "Did you ever think, I mean, how do you feel about kids?" Not many of the women who signed up for S.H.I.E.L.D. training were particularly maternal, and Tony never really thought differently about Raven. Maybe that was judgmental, but he did feel a lot safer that way. Safer? Maybe Steve was right when he teased Tony about his commitment issues.
