Happy suppressed a groan at Tony's approach. One look at him told him that the boss was already totally plastered, though Happy suspected he'd likely been as much before the party ever began. That's what Tony seemed to do these days, get drunk and pawn his responsibilities off on everyone else. Happy couldn't quell his bitter thoughts while Tony was hanging on him, disparaging his engagement. "Yeah, boss, I'm sure," he answered tersely, wincing at the volume of Tony's voice, one arm hovering behind Tony's back to catch him if he started to sway.
It probably wasn't the best time to talk about anything serious, but Happy was annoyed and all he could think about with Tony hanging drunkenly on him was how little time he got to spend with his 'knocked up' fiancee because he had to be out doing Tony's job as the Iron Man. He'd missed several doctor's appointments with Pepper and he knew the HUD on the Iron Man better than he knew the inside of his own gym. It had to stop, this- he frowned at Tony- had to stop. "Boss, I've got something I need to tell you," he said, spitefully loud, near Tony's ear.
