Who the hell is that? Happy wondered to himself and it was about the hundredth time he'd had that thought since the evening began. He'd recognized maybe a handful of people in the crowded room and wasn't this supposed to be his engagement party? His mother was here, and that was pretty much the only person he'd seen that he would've wanted. None of the guys from the gym, or the club. He was feeling weirdly uncomfortable in his suit and he kept tugging at the tie as his eyes grazed over the crowd of strangers. The venue made him wonder why he'd worn a suit at all, really, when it seemed to be sort of an upscale clubbing atmosphere. He didn't really get the music, or the dancefloor, or the strobe lights, or all the young beautiful people who probably didn't even know who this party was for. Pepper had disappeared for the moment, ostensibly to mingle, and Happy was left alone to smile at anyone who caught his eye and take a flute of champagne from a passing server with a tray. He wanted a beer. The next server who passed by he stopped to ask about food and was told that there wasn't any, but he ought to have a look at the cocktail menu, it was amazing. Happy sighed- Tony. Some engagement party.
