That actually didn't explain much. The relationship didn't account for what Crystal needed from Wanda. Really, it just made matters more confusing. Nick bit back his initial reply, which was of the uncouth and off the cuff caliber that might even make Stark proud- what, you fucking Lorna Dane or something? Although intuitively he knew she meant Pietro, it was still impossible to fathom, and this chick shacking up with Dane seemed somehow more likely than Pietro marrying someone.
Nick had seen the psych reports for Christ's sake, for Wanda and for Pietro. They had issues, well they'd had issues anyway, and if Pietro'd married this bitch, he must have lied quite a bit. Or, given her level of naivete, maybe he hadn't needed to. As strange as it seemed, however, it'd also been strange- not to Nick, but others had been surprised- when Pietro defected. Maybe a lot had changed. The twins had seemed to be growing apart before Pietro bailed, maybe he'd decided to do something normal after rejoining a terrorist organization- as normal as marrying a crazy chick from space could be anyhow. Or maybe there was some fourth Lehnsherr kid running around somewhere. Really, the possibilities were endless, and still seemed more likely than this woman being Quicksilver's wife.
"You married to Pietro?" he finally asked, lacing his fingers together on the table top and staring at her with raised eyebrows and a clearly skeptical expression.
