Back Home Characters: Rogue; OT Magneto, Mystique, Quicksilver, anyone else on Genosha Setting: Genosha, late afternoon or early evening Content: Nothing bad...hopefully. Summary: Rogue goes to Genosha to speak with the leader of the Brotherhood in hopes of being recruited.
The trip had been uneventful for the young mutant and she couldn't have been more pleased with that outcome. She could handle screaming babies and bad movies even if normal humans couldn't. Most of the ride over was spent shifting through a magazine lazily or requesting coffee when she could grab the flight attendant's attention over the rest of the noise echoing in the hovering craft. Once she landed, it was settling into a cheap motel and then out to explore the beautiful island that most mutants called home.
She could see why they liked it here; it was warm and bright and you could be yourself...no where on Earth was quite like it and Rogue revealed in that freedom for a moment, a rare smile on her lips as she breathed in the fresh air upon pausing at a street corner. Pulling back her hood, she shivered at feeling the warm sun on her pale face and even through the thick material of her gloves. Part of wished she could take them off, but no...she didn't want to hurt someone. Taking off again, she made her way through the crowded streets, halting only when she came to the Master of the Island's actual home. Mystique had set up a meeting of sorts and while she was slightly scared of what he could do to her, being as powerful as he was, she wasn't about to back down.
"Ah'm here to meet with Mr. Magnus", she explained to the mutant hovering outside the large home and flushed brightly when he laughed at her. "You know how many mutants say that?" he managed to get out between his fits of laughter that had her throwing her hood up again to hid her burning face. "Ah' have an appointment though...my name's Rogue". The mutant arched an eyebrow, shaking his head in disbelief with her words. This couldn't be Rogue...back again from the X-men? No way.
"Yeah and I'm Master Magnus in disguise. Get out of here..." Rogue knew better, but she pulled off a black glove and reached out to lay a hand on the man's cheek, watching with wide eyes as the veins popped in his skin and he gasped in shock, weakening beneath her touch as his life energy slowly became her own as well as any mutation he could possibly possess. Her own face contoured as memories filled her head, flashes of happiness and despair now her own with a single contact of skin. It seemed like forever, but was only a minute before Rogue pulled back and the man collapsed at her feet.
