Thin trails of blood trickled from the small punctures on her neck. Jessica rose to her feet then, the howls of his excruciation ringing harshly in her ears. Whatever Jean was doing to him, she was doing some damage and when the woman took a step forward, she could see his eyes rolling to the back of his head - he couldn't handle it.
"Don't kill him."
As an Avenger, she couldn't let that happen. And who knew, it was very likely that the girl had no plans to, but accidents happened, and Jessica wasn't going to stand around and watch it creep up on them. She stepped closer, hand extended out defensively toward the guy, though her eyes were on Jean.
