To see that Jean had her own abilities was more of a relief than it was a surprise. It meant that they could act, perhaps, as a team, seeing as the girl seemed to know what she was doing and Jessica wasn't going to underestimate her. Besides, there was an injured man they needed to get to. Whether he was alive or not, Jessica had no clue, but she was hoping for the best.
"I'll take that," she snatched the sword from the air and snapped it against her knee like some worthless twig. She never was a fan of toys. A quick flash of horror danced across his face before it was overshadowed by rage, and it was pretty clear that he was not too pleased about what she'd done.
"Mmf!" He teleported and grabbed Jessica by the neck, fingers clawing into her neck as he proceeded to swing her into a brick wall before going after Jean once again. She crashed right into it, the impact leaving a bit of a dent. She dropped and growled, sweeping dust and broken chunks of structure off her body. He just ruined a nice jacket, the bastard.
