God help them. As Jessica the - well at this point, she wasn't sure what to call it - "cake batter", she watched Wanda pull out the four-sided pan and laughed. What the hell were they supposed to do with that? "That should be fine, I think. We could just cut off the edges, couldn't we? Like they do on the shows..." How hard could it be? Honestly. Once she was sure the batter was mixed well enough, Jessica took the rounded pan first and began to pour, watching in mild disgust as the concoction rolled out as lumpy, glob-like matter. "Well." Reaching for a spoon, she put all her effort into patting it down and making it look like it settled evenly on its own. Didn't look any better (was that eggshell sticking out?) but...it was filled to the top. And then she poured the rest into the rectangular pan, scraping as much as she could so they weren't wasteful (ha!) and smoothed it out. Not as evenly as before but...it was still okay. "Now, it says to keep it in the oven roughly between twenty-two and twenty-eight minutes," she said, going ahead and sliding them in the oven. "That's not bad. Gives us plenty of time to make the frosting."
