JARVIS' solution was to close the tunnel, cutting off the sound of the advancing threat once more to leave the pair listening to Pepper's panicked breaths and the squeak of Tony's shoes on the floor as he bolted towards his terminal. "Dog," was all the instruction he gave when an emptied backpack was tossed towards Pepper after the sound of its contents being emptied abruptly onto the floor filled the workshop. Then there was much slamming around as Tony searched through drawers for the lockbox that slammed and rattled some more when he hauled it out to find the key for the motorcycle. Squeak, he spun to face pepper, then froze just long enough to swallow his heart again after it leapt into his throat at the bang that rattled the tunnel doors.
"Stop arguing," he demanded, not even focusing on her enough to be certain if Pepper was the one forming words or if that was the dog. He dumped a helmet on Pepper's head and spun her to face their escape plan.
